Arizona Rep. Trent Franks (R-CD8) was on C-Span's Washington Journal program early this morning for a long interview. He discussed a topic that he has become the leading Congressional voice on: Electromagnetic Pulses - both natural and manmade weapons. Much of the 39 minutes is dedicated to the subject. Arizona's Politics has occasionally covered Franks' efforts in the past.
The text of Rep. Franks' SHIELD Act (H.R. 2417) is below the video. The bill currently has 30 co-sponsors (including one Democrat). Rep. Paul Gosar (R-CD4) is the only co-sponsor from the Arizona delegation.
