CONFIRMED: Likely Presidential Candidate Rand Paul Visiting Phoenix Thursday (UPDATED)

(UPDATE, 1/13 AT 11:55am: Ms. May tells Arizona's Politics that Sen. Paul "will meet with local business leaders and political activists."  The meetings will be closed door.  Paul will also conduct media interviews after his meetings, and then will travel to Nevada.)

Arizona's Politics has confirmed a report that Kentucky Senator and likely Presidential candidate Rand Paul (R-KY) will be in Phoenix on Thursday.

Paul spokesperson Eleanor May did not provide details on the Senator's visit, but did confirm the schedule.  Paul is also planning to visit the first Presidential primary state of New Hampshire and Nevada.

The speaking/fundraising swing is not without some controversy.  Roll Call reported that the first-term Senator will miss the big joint conference between House and Senate Republicans this week in Hershey, Pennsylvania.
