If he had just ended at the gasoline pump, it would have been a boring week for Arizona Rep. David Schweikert (R-CD5). Just because Congress was not in session does not mean that he got a week off of work.
And tomorrow, he will be meeting supporters in the park and at a tony reception featuring GOP message guru Frank Luntz (both campaign events, visit davidschweikert.com for info).
However, in between those events (or before), Schweikert will be catching us up on his mid-week visit to Guantanamo Bay, where the U.S. continues to detain a number of so-called "enemy combatants."
Sooooo, what did YOU do this week?
P.S. I do feel sorry for him, though. Next week, Congress is back in session!
