UPDATE: Pres. Obama Signs Bill Authorizing Pascua Yaquis To Determine Own Membership
Two weeks ago, Arizona's Politics reported on the Senate's passage of a simple (one sentence0 bill that would allow the Pascua Yaqui Tribe to determine its own membership. After a brief stay on the President's desk, that bill has now been signed into law.
The Pascua Yaqui Tribe has a small amount of land in Pima County and has a number of members living in the Phoenix-area community of Guadalupe.
