Arizona's Senators joined all of their GOP colleagues in voting "nay" on the confirmation of Thomas Perez as Labor Secretary this afternoon. The nomination was approved on a straight party-line 54-46 vote.
Perez leaves his post as Assistant Attorney General for the Civil Rights Division, where he was the attorney who filed a lawsuit against the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office alleging "discriminatory and unconstitutional law enforcement practices."
