FIRST WATCH: DCCC Hits McSally On 2012 Support To "Privatize Social Security" (FOLLOWING MONEY IN ARIZONA'S POLITICS)

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ("DCCC") released a new ad to run on Tucson television, attacking GOP nominee Martha McSally for her 2012 support for adjusting the Social Security system.

The ad features a woman contemplating her retirement planning, and indicating that her next step is "voting no to Martha McSally."  The ad does not mention incumbent Rep. Ron Barber (D-CD2).
The full transcript is below.

McSally was running at the time in the GOP primary for the special election to replace the retiring Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. McSally did not win that primary, but then lost a general election later that year to Giffords' replacement, the now-incumbent Rep. Ron Barber (D-CD2).

At the time, McSally answered the Arizona Daily Star's question about how to ensure that Social Security benefits would be available for future generations: "We must keep the promises we've made to seniors and veterans. But a decade of irresponsible spending has left us some tough choices. We need to look at gradually increasing the retirement age for younger workers and giving individuals more options to invest part of their benefits for higher returns."

Transcript for DCCC ad "Planning":
People ask me if I’ve planned for retirement. We worked hard, played by the rules.
But then you have Martha McSally who wanted to change the rules, privatize Social Security, risk all the savings we’ve earned over a lifetime.
How can she do that while handing tax breaks to millionaires?
Yeah, I’m planning for retirement, and part of the plan is voting “no” to Martha McSally.
