WATCH LIVE: Senate Hearing On Colorado River DCP, READ the DCP Agreement

The hard-fought Drought Contingency Plan for the Colorado River is the subject of a Senate hearing today. Arizona Senator Martha McSally (R) is chairing the Subcommittee on Water and Power Hearing today. The DCP - sent to Congress for approval last week - is being discussed by the Commissioner for the Bureau of Reclamation, as well as representatives from Nevada, Arizona, and Wyoming. The House subcommittee will hold a similar hearing tomorrow, and it is expected that some of the proposed exemptions from environmental laws will receive attention then. The House Natural Resources Committee is chaired by Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-CD3), and Arizona Reps. Paul Gosar (R-CD4) and Ruben Gallego (D-CD7) are on the committee.
