As her blood clot continues to receive attention from
doctors (latest medical statement here),
media and
Republicans, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continues to work! In my e-mail box this afternoon were two missives setting forth the Secretary's comments today congratulating the people of
Haiti and
Sudan on the anniversaries of their independence. (One nation is celebrating 57 years of independence and the other 209 years; can you guess which is which?)
Sure, they are short statements, and she might even have lifted most of the language from last years' congrats, but COME ON, Secy. Clinton, take a break! Oh, and, Happy New Year's and dissolve that clot quickly!
