FIRST WATCH: NRCC Opens With $160K Obamacare Barrage Against Barber (FOLLOWING MONEY IN ARIZONA'S POLITICS)

The National Republican Congressional Committee ("NRCC") is opening its barrage against incumbent Rep. Ron Barber (D-CD2) with a former state lawmaker hammering him regarding Obamacare.

Lou-Ann Preble - who served in the Arizona House through most of the 1990's - is featured in the $160,000 ad.  The NRCC reports it spent $53,825.64 coming up with the ad (simply titled "Lou-Ann") and $106,875 to buy airtime in the Tucson TV market.

Preble - who is not identified as a former legislator in the ad - blasts Barber for what she claims to be cuts to Medicare by Obamacare and cites one 2012 vote in which Barber defended Obamacare.  Thus, she claims, "Ron Barber let us (the elderly) down."

Arizona CD2 is going to be one of the most hotly-contested House races in the nation, as Barber seeks re-election to a second full term in a rematch against GOP nominee Martha McSally.

Thanks for commenting, Anon. But you don't need to be too sad, Lou-Ann -the ad won't do too well on the fact check.
