This Sunday, internationally-known and Tucson-based alternative group Calexico (w/ Sergio Mendoza y la Orkesta) will play a concert at Hotel Congress (in Tucson) for folks who spend at least three hours campaigning for Democratic candidates. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords - locked in a tight battle with GOP challenger Jesse Kelly - will speak to the group.
Here are more details. Arizona's Politics does not generally "do" press releases, but Calexico is a great band; it caught my eye (ear?).
